Habits Challenge 2025 goals

I’ve been thinking about habits a lot recently, and different ways to make, break or modify patterns of behaviour. As a result of this there’s going to be a Habits Challenge in March, so here’s the heads-up.

As we all know, healthy habits can often be complicated, especially when you’re starting out. Sometimes they’re easy, sometimes they’re hard, but they also have the potential to be life enhancing.

There will be four sections to try, each of which works to help you in a different way. We’re all as individual as our fingerprints, so expect to try a few new things to see what’s best for you. This is not about ‘one size fits all’, it’s about finding your own favourites.

Habits Challenge schedule

Week One is ‘Making it Easier for Yourself’: We’re starting with lots of simple, easy tips to create structure or calm, or remove various obstacles from our own path.

Week Two is ‘Use What’s Already in Place’: We’ll be looking at our own lives to see what already works well for us, and finding ways to build on the foundations of existing positive patterns.

Week Three is ‘Add Something New’: This is the week for making a bigger change, perhaps something to do with health, hobbies or leisure activities, or learning.

Week Four is ‘Remove or Modify’: We all have at least a few habits that we feel are negative, or not in our best interests. This week will be about breaking or swapping out those patterns.

There’s going to be a round up at the end too, where you have the chance to evaluate each week’s theme. That’s followed by possible next steps to tailor to your individual preferences, so you can keep up the momentum.

As always, everything is going to be free to use, and each idea has at least one free option that you can try. Look out for a few other low cost ideas along the way too, if you have a bit more budget.
