Home spa and relax day

tenner week festive prep penny golightly day 4

Today we are doing another kind of party season prep – taking some time out and relaxing a little before things become busier, and/or having a bit of a home spa.

Take some time for yourself, even if it’s half an hour, and do whatever you like. Here are a few ideas:

  • Give yourself a pedicure
  • Have a soak in the bath
  • Go to bed earlier than usual
  • Put your feet up and watch a trashy movie
  • Curl up on the sofa and read
  • Slap on a face pack
  • Deep condition your hair
  • Listen to a relaxation app or soft music
  • Use a shower gel or other toiletries that you normally keep for ‘best’

Most of these ideas are very cheap or completely free, so hopefully it won’t mess up your budget.

Have a lovely relax, and treat yourself.

What’s happening here

Yesterday was my first spending day, £1.75, and apart from that I was quite busy with work. We had shredded ‘beef’ fajitas for dinner, made with shredded veggie burgers, BBQ spices, beans, tomatoes and sweetcorn – one of those easy meals that also tastes great. I watched some more TV and my total is now 1 hour and 54 minutes, so I’m nearly half way through my TV ration.

Today I’m going out for something that was paid for months ago – no point wasting those tickets. I’ll grab a quick snack of some sort at home, but am probably going to have a pint or some wine this evening. Too much clean living isn’t good for you…

Spent yesterday: £1.75

Total spent so far: £1.75

What are you getting up to? What sort of pampering do you recommend?

  1. My relaxing tonight came in the form of just sitting on the sofa reading – have taken a day off from wrapping presents. Another no spend day for me. Lunch was scrambled eggs on toast and dinner was fiesta pork casserole both of which already had at home.
